Value of Instructor Training 

Developed and researched the value of instructor training for volunteer instructors who provide workshops for the Software Carpentry Foundation. Resulted in a white paper with findings about the benefits and challenges of this community.  



Worked with the Software Sustainability Institute and Oxford e-Research Centre to create a workshop and white paper about measurement and workshop impact. 



The Energy System

As an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science Policy and Technology Fellow for 2012-2013 in the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability at the Department of Energy, I worked on briefing materials for topics such as institutional engagement, grid reliability and net energy metering. Member of the leadership team for the White House and Department of Energy Datapalooza to sustain open data collaborations.
